1. Who operates Sportli
Sportli is currently operated by Marcos Plohn under the product name Sportli. Sportli is not represented in this draft as a separately incorporated company.
For privacy questions or requests, email sportliapp@gmail.com. This address is monitored for general support and privacy matters; it is not an emergency or 24/7 safety service.
2. Scope and eligibility
This Policy covers the Sportli mobile application, the public website at sportli.app, and related private-beta support and moderation operations. The initial service is intended only for people aged 18 or older in Israel.
Sportli is not designed for minors. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we may restrict the account and take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise handle the information safely and lawfully.
3. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, Sportli may process:
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, account status and security records.
- Profile data: display name, skill level, city or selected playing area, bio, languages, preferences and optional avatar.
- Match data: matches created or joined, requests, attendance, cancellations, results and trust or reliability history.
- Social data: friendships, blocks and other relationship state.
- Communications: match-chat and direct-chat messages, delivery state and limited metadata needed to provide and protect messaging.
- Safety data: reports, selected report reasons, moderator notes, evidence references, restrictions, appeals and decisions.
- Notification data: notification preferences, inbox state and push-delivery tokens.
- Technical data: app version, device/platform information, timestamps, network and security events, crash reports and diagnostics.
- Support data: information you choose to send in a support, privacy or deletion request.
- Deletion records: limited operational receipts and a one-way email fingerprint used for the temporary signup cooldown described below.
4. Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, automatically from the app and its infrastructure, and from other users when they interact with you, participate in shared matches, block an account or submit a report. Providing optional profile fields is voluntary. Core account, match and safety information is required when necessary to provide the requested feature; without it, that feature may not work.
5. Why we use information
Sportli uses information to:
- create and secure accounts and provide profiles, discovery, matches, chat and notifications;
- show relevant information to other users involved in discovery, relationships or shared matches;
- operate blocking, reporting, moderation, restrictions and appeals;
- prevent fraud, spam, abuse, unsafe conduct and unauthorized access;
- support users, diagnose problems and improve reliability and accessibility;
- process account and data requests and comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims when reasonably necessary.
6. Visibility and sharing
Your profile and activity are not public web pages, but appropriate information may be visible inside Sportli to other signed-in users, friends, match participants or people considering a match. Chat content is visible to its participants. Blocking changes visibility and communication but does not necessarily erase prior shared history.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that support hosting, authentication, database operations, notification delivery, diagnostics, security and support; to other users as needed for product features; when required by law; or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Sportli or others.
7. International processing
Some service providers may process or store information outside Israel. Where applicable, Sportli will use reasonable contractual, technical and organizational safeguards for those transfers. This draft does not claim that every transfer mechanism has completed legal review.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for service operation, safety, dispute handling and legal obligations. Retention varies by record and context.
- Active account, profile, social, chat and notification information is generally kept while the account or relevant feature remains active.
- Safety, moderation and appeal records may be retained after content or an account is removed when needed to investigate abuse, apply restrictions, protect users, preserve auditability or comply with law.
- Backups and provider logs may persist for a limited period before rotation or deletion.
- Support records are kept as long as reasonably necessary to resolve and document the request.
9. Account deletion
You can request permanent account deletion in the app under Settings → Delete account, or by email if you cannot access the app. The complete process is at sportli.app/delete-account/.
Deletion removes sign-in access and active personal account data. Completed or cancelled shared match and trust history may remain in anonymized form under a neutral “Deleted player” identity. Reviews received by the deleted account are deleted; reviews authored by it may remain for reviewed players with the author anonymized.
A 30-day signup cooldown is enforced using a one-way HMAC fingerprint of the deleted account email, not its plaintext value. Deletion-operation correlation may be retained for up to 90 days, then unlinked. A minimal non-identifying receipt may remain for up to 12 calendar months. An anonymized tombstone identity may remain while preserved shared history still references it.
10. Your choices and rights
You can update available profile fields and notification preferences in the app, block users and delete your account. Subject to applicable law, you may also request access to personal information about you, correction of inaccurate information or deletion of information.
Send requests to sportliapp@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account. Do not email passwords, authentication codes, recovery codes, session tokens or identity documents unless Sportli provides a specific secure and legally reviewed method.
11. Security
Sportli uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong unique password, protect your device and report suspected account compromise promptly.
12. Public website
The current public landing site is static and does not intentionally use advertising trackers or account-creation forms. If this changes, this Policy and relevant consent or disclosure mechanisms must be updated before the change is released.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy as Sportli evolves. Material changes will be presented with a new version and effective date and, when required, an in-app notice or renewed acceptance. This draft is not yet an active in-app policy set.
